Target Groups:
All children below school age who have difficulties or delays in: the motor production of speech sounds and oral motor skills, speech and language development, or interaction skills and social contact. Also children who use augmentative and/or alternative communication methods.
I also provide assessments when possible.
Education:
Vocational basic education
Master of Arts, Speech and Language Pathology program
Additional professional training
Solution-focused neuropsychiatric coach training, 30 ECTS
Difficulties in social communication (PRT, ABA, the communication triangle and cornerstones, basics of empowering interaction)
Unclear speech and speech motor skills in children (OPT 1 and 2 + apraxia, PROMPT, basics of myofunctional approach, tongue-tie training)
PECS method
Sparking ideas and practical tips for picture-based communication
Talking Mats
Basic studies in special education, 25 ECTS
Experience:
I have extensive work experience in the private sector (rehabilitation and assessment), as well as experience working in specialized health care. The main focus of my work has always been demanding medical rehabilitation.
Additional information:
In speech therapy, I consider it extremely important that rehabilitation happens in collaboration with the child’s close caregivers and that there is real commitment to the process. With the right guidance for the child’s everyday environments, daily life becomes rehabilitative, and this is what we aim for. I also find it important that we work with the child from a strengths-based perspective and in a respectful, appreciative interaction.
